This catalogue reproduces Gorham's 1904 introduction of "The New Chantilly" pattern. "The New Chantilly" markedly differs from the original. "The New Chantilly" offered to the public was significantly less elaborate than the original. Even utensils bearing the same name as the 1895 pieces are considerably revamped. For example, the Asparagus Forks have completely different tines; the new Asparagus Server is pierced and more elaborate; the Asparagus tongs are made more functional by the elimination of the rounded points of the original and the provision of three grasping tines. This catalogue shows the revised line of pieces with all of the changes that made Chantilly a timeless classic.
