An American coin silver bon bon dish, Gorham Manufacturing Co., with Retailer's mark of J. E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, number 11, circa 1860. Of flared oval form with two bracket handles, raised on a conforming foot, applied with a gadroon border, centering an engraved monogram "J" over "HR" with star; length is 9 1/2 inches, weight is 15.65 troy ounces.
