Maker's mark of John Westervelt, Newburgh, NY, circa 1860: Of tapering shape with a circular rim, squared C-scroll handle and rim applied with die-rolled laurel leaf and ribbon border, engraved opposite the handle with strapwork cartouche and diaper-worked ground, engraved in script "Lincoln"; height is 3 1/2 inches, weight is 3.95 troy ounces.
